K-OZ was born Christopher Gaston on December 5th, ’83 in the South Park area of Houston, Texas. He moved around to various parts of city growing up but ended up in The S.W.A.T (South West Alief Texas).

His explosive rap career started around ’98 when he was about 14 or 15 years old, working. That’s when he me with a man that owned Hopp Entertainment a local record label. Hopp Entertainment was working on a compilation album and asked K-OZ to be on it after hearing K-oz from the underground scene. This lead to K-OZ’s first record deal.

Learning the business he began networking and eventually landed another deal with Underdog Records when his previous contract ended. After gaining all this knowledge about the industry from working with these labels he started C.N.G. Records. S.W.A.T films his production company was started shortly after.The name S.W.A.T. comes from the hood he grew up in which is located in South West Houston.

K-OZ’s will be the first C.N.G. artist to put out a studio album. His first LP features artists such as Devin the Dude, D-Gotti, Will-lean and more… In association with Universal Republic, illumina Records and promotions.

His production company has been putting out street DVD’s with behind the scene footage from the hottest shows for years. When K-OZ began traveling to do shows and events he took his camera crew or his personal camera and that’s how the DVD’s started. He never knew how many doors it would open or how many industry contacts it would bring. The S.W.A.T DVD Vol. 1 & 2 are out now under S.W.A.T Films and feature artists such as Paul Wall, Bun B, Trae the Truth, Plies, BG, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug, and many more…
